Hands Across the Bay was created with the belief that every family’s situation is unique. As a small but mighty team with limited resources, we work thoughtfully and intentionally to create the greatest impact. By partnering closely with victim advocates, law enforcement, and the State Attorney’s Office, we are better able to understand each survivor’s needs and provide meaningful, hands-on support to survivors and families in crisis.

Our team works creatively and collaboratively, using available resources and trusted community partnerships to help families regain stability and move toward independence. We uplift survivors, lend a helping hand to those who are struggling, and focus on offering support that encourages dignity, hope and positive change.

Transparency and stewardship have always been deeply important to me. I am proud to share that donations from our supporters go directly toward assisting families and supporting other small organizations in our community. Gold & Diamond Source, the company my husband Steve and I own, generously donates our office space, most supplies, and the majority of our staff salaries. I also personally volunteer my time at Hands Across the Bay. Because of this collective effort, we are able to stretch every dollar and create meaningful impact, even as a small organization.

Seeing families regain their footing and move forward with confidence is the reason Hands Across the Bay exists. I hope as you explore our work, you feel encouraged, inspired, and moved to be part of this mission of kindness and hope.
