EVENT RAISES OVER $24,000 FOR THREE LOCAL CHARITIES
Tampa, FL–The 2nd Annual Tammy Levent Birthday Bash held on July 29th was a smashing success! With over 400 patrons in attendance, the event featured a live performance by Sister Sledge and local vendors had an opportunity to offer their services to guests at a deep discount all to benefit three charities.
The highlight of this event was the amount of money that was raised for Friends of Joshua House, Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay to benefit burned victim and mother of 2, Audrey Mabrey. Through Levent and event sponsor Linda Caivano, ROOMS TO GO donated over $8,000 worth of furniture to Audrey and her children. Audrey says of the donation to her and her children, “If it wasn’t for Tammy’s second annual birthday bash my family wouldn’t have been blessed with over eight thousand dollars in brand new furniture. Rooms To Go was so gracious and willing to help once she told them my story and I am so thankful. This community is better supported in their time of need thanks to people like Tammy who is willing to reach out and ask for help.” ”We are very thankful for the beautiful furniture that was given to Audrey, I know she is really enjoying it!! Thank you all!! –Julie Weintraub-Founder of Hands Across The Bay”
The additional contributions to the charities that were raised directly through this event were as follows:
$2,000 to Crisis Center of Tampa Bay
$2,000 to Friends of Joshua House
In addition, auction items valued at $12,000 were donated to future Joshua House and Hands Across the Bay events. Total amount raised through monetary and in-kind contributions for the charities from the 2nd Annual Tammy Levent Birthday Bash was over $23,000.
Sue Levitt, Vice President of Development for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay states, “We are thankful when community members choose to support the Crisis Center. This donation from Tammy’s event will help us bring even more help, hope and healing to children, adults and families in Tampa Bay who are experiencing serious life challenges.”
In addition, DeDe Grundel, Executive Director of Friends of the Joshua House exclaims, “Tammy Levent is a remarkable woman. We were thrilled when her event from last year raised over $8,000 for the Joshua House and we were able to purchase all of our children’s school uniforms and academic supplies. We are equally as thrilled with this year’s outcome where we will apply her gift towards uniforms once again.”
Levent would like to thank event presenting sponsor, SmartLipo by REDBAMBOO Medi Spa, event patrons and all below vendors who provided sponsorship, services, time and contributions to the event. Tammy says, “I am very blessed to have a team of supporters in this community who came together to raise money for these charities. Without their dedication, continued support and unselfish generosity, this event would not have been possible.”
Tammy looks forward to raising even more money at her birthday celebration next year for a soon to be named charitable organization.
